Angelina Manos

I am a Civil Engineering student at the University of Technology Sydney with a growing professional identity centred on construction, design coordination and the delivery of complex building projects. My interest in engineering comes from wanting to understand not only how buildings are designed, but how technical ideas are transformed into safe, functional and buildable outcomes.

My engineering journey has developed through both university and practical industry experience. Before entering a professional engineering environment, much of my understanding of construction came from study and earlier site-based roles. Working as a construction cadet has changed this perspective by exposing me to the collaboration, documentation, decision-making and accountability required to deliver real projects. I have developed experience assisting with design coordination, project documentation, schedules, risk management, quality processes and communication between multidisciplinary stakeholders.

These experiences have helped shape the engineer I want to become: someone who combines technical understanding with practical construction knowledge, communicates effectively and takes responsibility for achieving quality project outcomes. My value to an employer is my willingness to learn, strong work ethic, construction experience and ability to work effectively with people from different professional backgrounds.
